We have a top gardening blog for you this week as our Kid Blog Star of the Week – say hello to Green Fingered George

Eleven-year-old George is just crazy about gardening and wildlife. He has recently left primary school, where he did gardening and he continues to help his Dad in the garden at home. In 2014, when he was 8 George won the Royal Horticultural Society’s Young School Gardener of the Year, and he is now a RHS Young Ambassador. He lives near Manchester in the UK and has even met The Queen!

So go find out what’s growing in the garden now by visiting Green Fingered George and maybe say hello by leaving a comment.

You can also find George on Twitter and Facebook.

Kid Blog Star of the Week is where we highlight an amazing blogger aged under 16 from somewhere in the world. Some of them will have been blogging for a while, and others will be newbies.

But they’ll all have one thing in common – we think they’re AMAZING. And if you’d like to submit your blog for consideration, leave a link in the comments. The only rule is that at least one of the people writing the blog has to be under 16.

But more importantly, please visit our featured bloggers and leave a comment to let them know you enjoyed their blog.

To George – Add us to your list of fans, you’re amazing! You get to wear the special KidBlogStar badge so here’s the code to pick it up

What a lovely blog! I like the video too – what a good way to introduce a child’s blog. I’d like to suggest my daughter’s blog 2 Blogging Cats ( https://2bloggingcats.wordpress.com/ ) as a candidate for Kid Blog Star of the Week. She is 12, lives in the far north of Norway, is bilingual and has been posting on her blog – which is written from the point of view of her cats – every week since it was launched in January 2015. I think that shows great commitment, especially in these times when attention spans are increasingly short and demands for immediate rewards for little effort are growing. In the process of producing the blog, she’s picked up useful Photoshop and other computer skills and has learned a great deal about writing and story-telling. I’m very proud of her.

We provide training programs (BBC dance mat typing) for kids typing. All the learning progress on our website is easy and fun, there are 4 levels to play, including 12 stages. Kids can start by learning the home row keys. Each stage is based on previous ones, introducing new letters as you progress. There are some also other fun typing games and a resource page.
