Today we have news of a fun and creative poster competition for young artists in the UK aged under 16. It’s being run by the Accident Advice Helpline to get us all thinking about what we can do to prevent accidents in the workplace.
All you have to do to enter is design a poster around the theme of health and safety and preventing accidents. We know a lot of you read KidsBlogClub at school, so perhaps you could get together with a few friends and talk about ways to prevent accidents and what sort of poster you could create. Ask your teachers or parents about what sort of accidents they’ve experienced at work.
Full details of the Health and safety Poster Competition can be found at this link.
There are no restrictions on what sort of poster you can create, so let your imagination loose. Will you use pens, pencils, digital art or collage? Look at the posters you see around you and think about which ones catch your eye. What do you know about health and safety, and accidents in the workplace? Where do you think hazards might come from?
Be original, be creative and above all, have fun.
